He asked for songs 2006 and up. Exploration of Space is 2002. If he didn't say any new techno songs, I would've linked him to that techno thread I had. Just clarifying, not trying to be rude ...

Front 242 - Feed The Felines, Headhunter, and one with a sample of Jimmy Swaggart that I always forget the title to. It's somewhere between techno and industrial, but it's really good.

this song came out in 2000/2001. I'm not sure if you can call it techno. its more like europop something. I'm sure there's a genre to put it in I just can't of it now.

thinking of 06 songs are kinda hard. I haven't had the time to follow up on recent stuff. not like I did years ago. Now if it was on the radio maybe it would be easier.

Hmmm... good point. OK, how about Vincent de Moor - Fly Away (Cosmic Gate remix)? It's relatively new and very good.

Oakenfold's latest (A Lively Mind) is pretty poppy, and some of the tracks plain suck, but it's a pretty damn nice album regardless. Skip to the later stuff if the first few tracks don't catch your attention.

Right, there's one thing I'm confused about. Whenever people talk about 'techno' songs on here, everyone just talks about commercial trance and general dance music. Has 'techno' become just a general term for dance music?

It's because there's a lot of people who can't really describe it all since they're not that into electronica. Honestly, I feel that electronica encompases it all.

But most people don't know jack crap. They hear some electronica or me listening to electronica, and they say "Oh I didn't knwo you were into house/trance. Ok, house and trance are like SO DAMN DIFFERENT.
