So I?ve decided to try out an electric razor. I'm using a Mach3 Turbo now and really like how close of a shave it gives me without nicking me (except when i get a crappy blade :/). I'm thinking an electric might be more convenient for me. I'm basically looking for something that will give a close shave, and is sub $100 and won?t give me burns (I?ve heard that there?s supposed to be an ?adjustment? period between switching from manual razor?s to electric ones). What do you guys use? Oh yea, my beard grows back pretty fast, and although it?s not bushy, the individual hairs are pretty thick compared to most peoples.

I have a Norelco Advantage (one of the lotion-dispensing ones). It's worked pretty well for me.

Seconded.

Make sure you get the one with the floating head though.

I'm on my third one already.

Me too, although I only use it for shaving the mustache & soul patch area right now (I have a beard, so I use a Mach 3 for shaving around it).

I have the Panasonic ES8092NC from Target for 95 bucks. I dont' think they normally carry it, which was why it had a nice red tag on it. :)

I love it.

EDIT: Sharper image uses the same razor I think, but replaces the battery lights with a little lcd thing and charges another hundred bucks for it.

floating head?

Non-floating head

Floating head

Notice one head is attached completely to the razor and the other one has a bit of a gap to allow it to move up and down. I accidentally bought the fixed head razor and it wasn't as comfortable or close. Get the floating head if you can.
