Reccomend a good Vesa pole mount?

I have a thin room. A standard wall mount is NOT going to cut it for my LCD tv because its my TV and my monitor. So i would like a certain mobility to my 32" tv. I would like to point it in one direction where i will sit upright and use it for PC gaming, and at other times, i want to turn it exactly 90 degrees so i can watch TV from my bed. I found out there are these poles on rectangular bases that i could easily attach to a heavy wheeled dolly and move where i want when i want, but i think all im finding are the poles. Not the base or the mounts. Do you know what im talking about and where i can find one for the best price?

I found what i am looking for in general but it cost almost as much as my TV, and ive never been ok with that.

If i can't buy one of these for $200 or less, i know i will end up buying a cheap mount and making a pole mount/base for it.

See, I have my desk and bed next to each other, pointing in the same direction (I.e. my Dell 2408 and my feet are pointing toward the same wall). I sometimes want to watch stuff from my bed, but that requires laying crosswise on my bed (not a big deal) and moving the monitor out to about where my keyboard is, and then rotating it 90 degrees to point perpendicular to my bed (instead of parallel). That's also not a huge deal, but I feel like something like this:

would just mean I'd have to pull it out, and then point it at my bed. And hopefully, it'd work just as well as the current stand.

And for $20, it's certainly worth trying! Innnnnteresting....

Edit: After reading reviews, I'm amazed. Everyone said the build is top notch and there's even a guy in the same situation as me. Only downsides seem to be you can't tilt to portrait mode (which I don't do anyway) and that the monitor angle is hard to adjust, which is too bad, since in "computer mode" you want the monitor tilted slightly up, for ergonomics, and in "watching from the bed mode" I'd want it flat or tilted slightly down, since my bed is lower than my desk. But I can't quibble for $20!

It's to the point where I feel like you could buy these and resell them on craigslist for people -- like me -- who didn't know monoprice sold stuff like this. The closest I've seen for something like this was around $100. Wow.

I bought one like that on ebay for $40 then realized monoprice had nearly the same thing for $20...wish I bought the monoprice one. Let us know if the quality is actually as good as the reviews say

My idea's for this room are still in flux. I have been throwing the idea of a wall mount around since i started redoing this room, but the fact that the wall mounts kind of don't turn 90 degrees in either direction are making me think i need to approach this from a different direction.

Although. For the prices Monoprice is selling these things for, it kind of puts the idea back on the table. Maybe mounting the TV to the desk its self is the way to go. And if it doesn't work out, i didn't sink $200 in to a piece of spring loaded Chinese junk.

There's also some mounts at geeks.com. I might check those out too. I'm not sure which one makes the most sense for my application.

So That is a great idea of scootermaster's, but i need one thats for a 32" screen now. Any one stumble across one that large?

With a 32" that mount would be putting a lot of stress on the desk you mount it to so make sure it's sturdy.

Otherwise I can't really recommend any of the smaller monoprice wallmount cantilevers as they have limited adjustment to compensate for sag that is inherent in their design of some of these mounts.

This mount for example WILL sag even when not extended.

You can always get adapters from monoprice that can extend the mount pattern beyond the 200mm x 200mm vesa.

I know this is an old thread, but i wanted to update it. I ordered that first wall mount and it works great. Thanks to you newnameman, for suggesting this. Like i tried to convey; i sit in two places in this room, and the desk and the couch require a 90 degree turn for my TV. Its nice that i can turn the TV on a perfect right turned angle and sit on the couch to watch a movie. It only lacks vertical pitch. Who cares, though? Eventually i will buy a 22" monitor as a secondary, then i will buy one of those desk clamp mounts.

Oh, incidentally, any one thinking about ordering these things will want to pick up some lag bolts. The screws that they give you i do not trust. Aside from that, this things solid. Just use common sense with it, and it will do really well. I cannot say enough nice things about this. What a waste of money walmart would have been. Do NOT buy a retail wall mount. Ever. Period.
