The public sector unions in Wisconsin have got out of control and they must be defeated, they are getting rich off the private sector
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What a load of bullshit, its special interest money and corporate dominance over the economy of Wisconsin that are robbing the people of Wisconsin of their future.

And come 6/2012, its the people of Wisconsin who will have to decide who is public enemy #1.

What about the teachers and quality public servants in Wisconsin, do you crazed righty tighties really think they will work for minimum wage? What happens when they take their talents to other states. As the value of a Wisconsin HS diploma degrades to junk bond status? And State public services go down the toilet. Ya horrah, Wisconsin leads the nation in net job losses. You are doing a hell of job scottie Walker. Even better than Bownie.

I assume that the righties think the teachers should work for what the free market decides 😀

So let me get this straight. The Democrats start recall campaign against Scott Walker. And now they are whining that he is focusing on the recall campaign instead of job creation?

:colbert:

The characterization of whining is inaccurate. The article points out how much Walker has raised & where it came from.

This isn't whining, at all, but something else entirely-

State Democratic Party spokesman Graeme Zielinski issued a statement calling Walker's totals "breathtaking."

"It is true we will be badly outspent. It is also true that, at the end of the day, and until Walker makes it otherwise, money does not vote," Zielinski said.

"The people vote. And it is the people of Wisconsin who will win victory over Scott Walker on June 5th."

When did I ever say they should work for minimum wage, do you believe we should get give them whatever they want? The budget must be balanced and public sector unions share SOME of the blame for the mess there in. Some of their benefits are too much and the taxpayer pays for this with higher taxes. And why should the public sector be able to form unions when they work for the taxpayer as well it gives them a MONOPOLY

Teachers may migrate - however, there are only so many positions elsewhere.
Most states have been tightening their teaching staff. Unless Obama hands out another pot; layoffs will happen. there are to many teachers for the educational system funding by the public tax base.

And the teachers still have a vested interest in staying around - called a job.

Allowing public waste is not going to keep the jobs in state.

Driving away teaching talent with low wages & benefits won't work to a state's advantage, at all, nor will cuts to education in general. Tomorrow's graduates need to know more, not less, and huge class sizes & low budgets won't help at all.

Keep the masses uneducated, unskilled, apathetic and thoroughly indoctrinated and propagandized. The Repub dream come true....and they're succeeding, given how the rich and powerful minority holds sway over the majority.

Don't give the middle class and the poor an even chance at acquiring jobs that the children of the rich and mighty want for themselves. Another Repub dream coming true.

And Koch sucking Walker is an integral part and a prime example of the aforementioned Repub-led scenario playing itself out.

They will work for whatever dollar amount they agree to work for.

Then the talent pool in other states will be over-saturated and wages go down.

Question for you, how many of these minimum wage earning teachers can afford to move cross country?

Are these more of your infamous predictions?

Last time I checked, their unemployment level is significantly below the national level.

hmm..., I'm middle class and I've got a pretty damn good job. Actually, some may consider me and my family upper middle class now. Oh, and I didn't come from a rich family, I grew up in a trailer with no heat or AC.

stupid generalizations are stupid.

I grew up really poor, family members passed away and I did not go to a top prestige tier school. However, I still am making more money than a majority of my family members.

It's called work ethic and if you want to move up in life. You can't be partying, drinking, smoking pot and move up in the world. The only time that would work is if you inherited it.

You act like Democrats haven't done the same thing

If Walker wins, will you admit that Wisconsin thinks unions are public enemy #1?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As a matter of fact no, Walker and the GOP may fool the people of Wisconsin, but still, when Walker and GOP policies lead the people of Wisconsin to looming worse disaster, sooner or later the Wisconsin voters will no longer buy GOP bad governance.

A strong and prosperous middle class has always been the secret to America's success, and concentrating wealth in fewer and fewer hands always leads to American disaster. It caused the end of Hoover, and now the GOP advocates those same Hoover policies.

Very few Americans weathered the great depression in fine shape, and particularly hard hit were main street merchants that tend to vote GOP. But those same main street merchants can't sell their products when no one has the money to buy them thanks to GOP policies.

Ah, so only those you disagree with are to be called enemies of the people if they lose an election, but people you agree with are not to be called enemies of the people if they lose the election.

I suspected as much, but I wanted to be sure and have you say it.

I'm middle class and I've got a pretty good job too. I grew up in poverty myself, and I worked hard....REALLY hard to get where I am now, the same as you, or possibly harder. Yet, I can see quite clearly what's happening IRT how the very rich minority is corrupting our politicians, the Supreme Court and any other gov't entity that obstructs their agenda. Don't You?

I totally agree with you on this.

You act like Democrats haven't done the same thing

I agree that some Dems have done the same thing, and they're for the most part DINO's. However, all you need to look at is the legislation the Repubs are pushing and passing in the HOR vs. the legislation Obama and the Dems are failing to get around the total blockage the Repubs are putting up. Go ahead...do a very simple search comparison and the logical conclusion you'd arrive at is that the Dems are pro-middle class/poor and the Repubs are pro rich/very rich.

Why is it that middle class folks support an ideology and agenda that favors the rich and works tirelessly against the very class they come from is way beyond the bounds of logic and common sense, IMO.

I just wanted to add this to the Walker post.
http://volokh.com/2012/05/02/madiso...or-refusing-to-turn-over-employee-sick-notes/

The Wisconsin State Journal reports,

The Madison School District has agreed to pay $31,454.57 in legal fees after the State Journal won an open records lawsuit over employee sick notes related to last year’s Capitol protests ….

Prior to the notes being released, the State Medical Examining Board disciplined nine doctors for their involvement in issuing notes during the protest. After the State Journal found at least 15 doctors in the notes who hadn’t been disciplined, the Medical Examining Board decided to investigate 11 additional doctors.

Just... stop it. Stop making sense.

Unsurprising you'd say so, given your penchant for toadying up to the Rich. Maybe he referenced your headset in that last sentence... yeh, maybe he did.

I don't happen to give to shits about the "Rich". You and your types are the one's hung up on them. What doesn't make sense is your types voting for people who want to have the gov't take control of more things while at the same time whining about the gov't being pawns of the "Rich". So why would you people want to give more control to an entity that you claim is owned by the "Rich"? ... and you people want to try to lecture middle class conservatives about self interest? buahahaha!!!!

Few Undecided in Wisconsin Recall

Al Trossen feels like a wanted man. The former Teamster voted for embattled Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in 2010 but isn't sure who to support in the state's historic recall election next month.

"There's so much bashing on both sides," the 71-year-old retired truck driver said.

"How does a person know what to believe?"

"I want to find out the truth.

Have we created more jobs?" said Trossen

Walker credits his conservative, business-friendly policies for helping reduce the state's unemployment rate to 6.8 percent, the lowest since 2008. However, federal reports also show Wisconsin lost more jobs in the past year than did any other state.

Jim Morelli, 52, a safety representative at the Wisconsin utility We Energies, said he intends to listen to what the candidates say about creating jobs and improving the economy. Though he's inclined to let Walker finish his term
