Rebooting Problem

OK, I've had this rig set up and running flawlessly for around 6 months. The Mobo/CPU/RAM are both 6 mo. old. I recently moved into a new apartment and then got Roadrunner Cable installed and didn't change any settings on the machine (have been using Roadrunner for years). Machine up and running just fine for about 3 weeks.

On my old cable modem we had some problem with the line to the house. Occasionally the connection would get really slow. Unlpugging the power cable from the back of the modem and plugging it back in would reset the connection and everything would be fine again. Now we have a different modem and the power jack on the back isn't a 1/8" like before it's a lot thicker with lots of pins. Anyways my girlfriend reaches back and unplugs it like before one day and all the trouble starts but I don't know if it's related or not.

The Trouble:
Machine keeps rebooting. Sometimes it will stay lit for up to 5 minutes, sometimes as it's logging into WinXP it just reboots. I've tried lots of things to try and idenitfy the problem but am getting nowhere. BSOD's are on.

What I've tried:
- Replaced older PSU & Surge Protector
- Safe mode (all types, reboots with Command Prompt too)
- Unplugging from the network
- Tried Running Virus Scan and CHKDSK but it reboots before it will finish either
- Checked temps in BIOS - all are fine, fans are all running, all temperature shutdowns in BIOS disabled

BSOD says:
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer.
If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the
Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options
such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable
components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options,
and then select Safe Mode.

but doesn't list any drivers. Occasionally it will give me a STOP error like:
*** STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902FA, 0xBA9066E8, 0xBA9063E8, 0x80554e06)
but no pagefaults or anything.

Once I got an error like:
The shutdown was initaited by NT Authorty System
Countdown from 60 seconds
Windows must now restart. Because the remote procedure call service (RPC) terminated unexpectedly

which made me think I had the blaster worm (NAV is constantly running tho). So I was able to keep the machine running long enough to patch it. But then after the patch I tried running Symantec's fixblast.exe and it will reboot before it finishes every time.

I am lost.
Ideas??
 
To get the FixBlast to finish working, if the countdown starts, go to Start -> Run and type in:

shutdown -a

which will abort the shutdown, and give you time to get the system patched.

Try googling the Stop errors.
 
I only got the shutdown countdown 1 time. I can't get that error to repeat so the 'shutdown -a' command won't work. Right now it's just going to the BSOD w/o warning.

I've googled the STOP error but every other one I've seen has had a driver or filename attached. Mine doesn't.
 
Try pulling a stick of RAM, or swapping out for a different memory stick also...

it may not be the problem, but it's VERY easy to pull a stick of RAM to do a quick 2 minute diagnosis.
 
Just as a follow-up:

Last night I pulled 1 of the 2 sticks of RAM and ran memtest86 on it. No errors.
Ran the 2nd stick by itself. No errors.
Put them both back in, ran it. No errors.

Booted the PC backup and it hasn't rebooted at all since. Was able to run NAV, fixblast, dskchk all just fine no errors or viruses. Has been up and running almost 16hrs now with out a rebooting incident.

Perhaps 1 of the RAM sticks was just seated wrong from the move or the case got bumped or something.
