OK. I will try a few more times.

I am already using the 0.6 04, I guess you must have linked to it earlier. I'm downloading the 0.5, maybe I'll try that. I'm also going to try writing to a CD this time, maybe that might help.

EDIT: Rapidly spamming the enter key all the time got me somewhere. It asked me about keymaps, in which I selected a US keyboard. From there it tried to start 'X'. The screen flashed a couple times in different colors. Now its red and white. The hard drive light is running though. I'm guessing a reboot?

I am loading the Windows 7 disc now. I dunno if it has ever mattered, but I'm using a Windows 7 upgrade disc...

How do I get to disk management? Right now I clicked yes to install. If I remember right I should be able to get to a screen where it shows the discs, just like in disk management. Right?

I thought you could boot into your Windows install ITSELF from the disk??
And no an upgrade disc is not good for fixin things
Dont know if it even has bootsect.exe in boot folder on disk

Dont go anywhere, this will only take a few minutes
Lets go back to you putting in your "bad" SSD in your working backup PC
Then boot to GOOD SSD and tell me when you are there

I have 2 SSDs, but only one is an OS drive. The other is just a game drive.

My backup PC is using a normal SATA 80gb HDD.

No I cant boot to Windows from the disc.

After connecting my 'bad' drive, do I go to windows and disk management?

OK I am ready. I have my 'bad' SSD connected to my backup PC with its' 80gb SATA HDD. No other drives connected.

Start your screenshot software
Then go to all programs/accessories
You will see the black cmd icon, right click it and pick "run as administrator"
Letr me know when we are ready
