I too have been doing a lot of research on this camera this is a good deal.

However another option is www.beachcamera.com where is price is 667.59 before 100 dollar rebate.

If you wanted the kit lense beachcamera has it for 727 - 100 = 627.00 (with lens) making this lens like $60 bucks which is pretty good in my opinion. (Silver model...black is a bit more...I happen to like silver better so works out for me...planning on buying soon.)
