Got my $86.95 pricematch check from AMEX for the Western Digital 80 GB 7200 hard drive
from Outpost.com. So after the $70 MIR the final price is about $48! About $ 0.60 per GB!

This is the best price since I bought the other Western Digital 80 GB 7200 drive from Best Buy during
black Fri. sale last Nov. for $50 after pricematch and rebate!
 
I got my $75 dollar rebate check today from Western Digital on the 80gb 7200 RPM Best Buy deal (the one where we matched Circuit City's price of $149 too). Also got my Amex price match to the online deal ($111). Bringing my price of this drive down to $36... $0.45 a meg... best deal of the year if you ask me.

That was a very fast rebate check, hats of to WD... that one only took about 3 weeks
 
Just noticed this thread, and this may be old news, but I got my $20 check from Staples (on 100 Imation CD-R Spindle). Quick turn-around time of about 3 weeks.

I just got my rebate yesterday from the Visiontek GF3 Ti200 BB T'giving sale. I called TCA rebates last week after not receiving it, and another one from them. They claim they mailed them to me but they were returned undeliverable (second person I talked to said they had the wrong zip code). Seems like they always claim this. Anyone else notice this?

Anyway, I'd say if you haven't received one from TCA you should have, stop waiting, call them!

Here's to avoiding purchasing any rebate items from TCA (New Rochelle, NY) in the future.
 
My ATI Radeon $30 was supposed to be mailed today (and yes, I've had the "sorry wrong zip code, we'll cut you another check within 2 months though!" spiel more than once before) and my Geforce 3 TI 200 $50 posted today for 6/15 payment. Both are TCA. I average 4-6 MONTHS not 4-6 weeks for each TCA rebate. (wheresmyrebate(bitch).com)

Much better was my UPS rebates from circuit city. The $15 posted online within 2 weeks, while the $45 took only a month to post. ( rebateshq.com / circuitcityrebates.com )

Staples Audiovox Maestro $50 posted within 2 weeks. I'm very pleased with Staples rebate house (staplesrebates.com). I still hate staples though. (Why did they have to pull the rebate .pdf if they are still honoring it? That's just juvenile business tactics to think "Even if the money isn't coming from us, you can't have it. You've got a good enough deal already.")

No word on my 3 x $10 Tdk/Buy.com cd-r's (taiyo yudens). You can put a rebate inquiry at www.tdk.com/rebate if your ancy like me. No way to check without a CSR.

MSN FINALLY paid for their holiday promotion. My $80 check got "lost" last time and took another 8 weeks to process. Justin at MSN was more then helpful, albeit useless to do anything about it. 5 month turnaround from purchase to check! bah.

I haven't received mine yet. At the rebatestatus.com page I get the message:

"We have received and processed your submission. You should receive your rebate or premium item soon. Please check back again to receive the date your rebate or premium item was mailed."

Haven't received the $50 rebate from Seagate concerning the 80GB drive bought from Outpost.com.
I emailed outpost and here is there response:

I emailed them about a week ago (rebates@newq.com i *think*, the info's on the rebate form) and I got a quick reply saying my rebate submission was filed but never followed up on..I was promised the check would be sent ASAP, and I received it today.

They're probably trying to get out of paying the rebates, but a quick email should solve the problem..
 
being of the topic i purchased a dvd player from office max back in august of 2001. with a 15$ rebate, its now may so i figured i got screwed. nope today may 3rd i have a email in my outllok saying the check has been printed. OMG 9 mnths. thats the longest most stupidest thing from IOmagic. 9 mnths for 15$ but i got t he rebate 😛
 
For the stupid software mentioned in that article about TCA, more than 50% of my rebates were denied because other guys in my building submitted the same rebates, and one of my rebates, $20, was still denied, but I was too lazy to call them. Also I knew someone did a buy-return rebate, and he got it from TCA. TCA really sxcks, now I always avoid TCA rebates.
 
Well, I love TCA Rebates...after reading everyone's stories, I am always pleasantly surprised by my own experiences with them. Just checked the status of my latest rebates and they have already approved my Magellan MAP 330X GPS receiver $50.00 rebate, mailed about 3 weeks ago. I was concerned it would be flat-out rejected because Sam's Club was offering their own $50.00 rebate for the same item (also approved a couple weeks ago)...there was some question as to whether both rebates were actually the same rebate, due to the identical amounts. Double rebate brought the price down to $109.95 for a $300 GPS :Q

Never had a rebate rejected by TCA; I think my longest wait was around 13 weeks from them, and the average has been around 9 weeks, which is fine with me. Of course, I call them the very day my rebate is due, and I do regular follow-ups if necessary...that's the key to winning with them, in my opinion.
 
Got my $60.00 WD 80 Gig HD rebate last week.
It was initially denied due to a missing submission (they were right). I faxed the info
needed to them and they approved and cut my check.

BTW. The action was probably because I called CompUSA HQ (bought it from them).
Altogether about 10 weeks.

Got a TDK rebate check after less than a month. WOW!!!!

My rebates outstanding are now less then $200.00 and will probably dwindle some more because I don't
feel a need to purchase much more. Have multiple computers and most of them are loaded.
 
I GOT MY GeFORCE TI-200 REBATE FROM THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

fools at new rochelle took long enough to get me that fifty bucks
 
Yes, it seems TCA is doing its job better that it did before, fast and easy to check. However, my problem is my rebates were always denied because of mutiple submission whenever other guys in my building submitted the same rebate. That is the reason I avoid TCA.

OK, I have yet to receive my rebate from the Thanksgiving Visiontek gefroce3 ti200 sale. I sent it in IN NOVEMBER, and It's now a good 6-7 months since then.

Does anyone know what number I should call to find out where the hell my money is? wheresmyrebate.com has said the rebate was approved for forever now, but I still haven't received my check. This is so irritating.
