Received the $150 Compaq rebate for an iPaq 3635 I purchased back in November (Staples PM). It was about 10 weeks (right on schedule). Expecting another of the same from the Radio Shack deal...

CompUSA rebate for QPS 24/10/40 cdrw for $50.00 - "not paying, block account." This was what the rebate center said after four months of waiting.

Anyone know what to do next.

I received my $50 with no problem, but I purchased during the first offering of this rebate in September. If the rebate center does not pay, take your rebate documentation to the store and demand your money on the spot!

Received the Cendyne $20.00 rebate for the 24x10x40 CDRW today, and it only took about 6 weeks. Mailed 11/26/01.

Reason for my shock: right after I sent out the rebate form, I started reading about how bad Cendyne usually is with rebates...some people said they are still waiting after 4 to 6 months. This one went to Parago - they're good...one of the best rebate houses in my opinion.

I received an email from PNYTECHNOLOGIESINC.Rebate.Center@rebatesHQ.com on 22 Dec 2001 with a tracking number. It was for the $10 rebate and it still shows status as "processing". I haven't heard anything about the $15 rebate yet.
 
CompUSA manager said he cannot refund anymore and must call 800-compusa to get it.

I did buy during the September sale and still not received the $50. I have received all other rebates.
 
My Visor/Activelink 100.00 rebate from CompUsa was approved for payment.

Staples/Memorex scanner $60 rebate mailed 12/7/01 received 1/13/02
Staples/Epson printer $40 rebate mailed 12/8/01 received 1/13/02
Staples/Envision monitor $100 rebate mailed 12/5/01 - still processing
Staples/PNY memory $20 rebate mailed 11/30/01 - still processing

I've noticed inconsistencies between www.staplesrebates.com and the automated system at 1-877-266-6483, and to get my first two rebates processed I had to speak with a person.
 
anyone have any clue as to what's going on with the outpost antec sx830 rebate? i've checked www.wheresmyrebate.com but it's not posting and it's been over a month since i've mailed it in.

is anyone having their rebate status show up?

I sent in 8 rebates, 7 from CompUsa on Thangsgiving and one from Samsung, the first week in Dec.
One was listed and approved in the middle of December. Six have been listed and approved the last 10 days. One still isn't listed on wheresmyrebate. Seems that most of them are taking 6-7 weeks to show up on their site.
 
Is anybody else starting to get nervous about the $15 rebate for the 50 Hi-Tech CDRs purchased at Staples on Black Friday?? I actually went back a week or two later when they had the 100 pack for $25 - $25 MIR, so I have two in limbo...

My neighbor and I both bought the GF3s at Best Buy BEFORE the sale and we returned during the sale and repurchased the cards (i.e., price match and re-rung with new date). My rebate was approved and my neighbors was DENIED. My neighbor called up and talked with a phone rep who in turn looked up the file and approved the rebate.

I would suggest that anyone with the "denied because of purchase date" and who also re-purchased during the MIR period, call the rebate center. I would file a formal complaint (with FTC, BBB, etc.) if the rebate was not honored under these circumstances.
 
You have to love CompUSA. As of Monday on the phone, they had no record of my Handspring Visor/Activelink rebate submission. This was 7 weeks after I submitted it. As of today, Wednesday, it shows up online as approved. Not a bad deal. $99.95 + tax with a $100 rebate.
 
Well that particular rebate was shaky from day one. I consider that the least likely of all my outstanding rebates to show up. Just keep your copies of everything since I'll bet that Staples will make good on it if it never shows up.

Concerning the Best Buy Visiontek Geforce 3 rebate. I made copies of my receipt and UPC code but failed to make a copy of the rebate form. Can someone email it to me please or direct me to a site?

I've been on hold with CompUSA for a good 30 minutes. And they aren't going to be any help anyway. I am calling about the wonderful QPS 24x rebates, I will never again do any rebates with compusa.
 
I sent in two rebates, one for me and one for my parents, I used my name on both rebates. So, now I commited fraud they tell me and they deny both my rebates even though the website says it was approved.

Hehehe, lack of thinking and the fact I have been doing it on Staples rebates with no problem for a total of about 20 rebates. I don't know what I was smokin... anyway, I explained that only one should be invalid. I mean it said two people used the same reciept for a rebate. So one should be invalid not both. Anyway, the idiot told me that he was going to let it go through and he was going to have to send it in to the manufacturer again, and it would take 6 to 8 weeks. AKA, I'm not going to get a rebate cause the guy is a lying sack of... Never use TCA REBATES again I urge you. Even though COMPUSA claims it isn't their fault but QPS, they lie about it.

Received my $100 Philips/OD 19" monitor rebate today...mailed it 10/23/01

Cash those checks quick...today is the 16th of Jan, my check is void if not cashed by Feb 11th!

I had the same experience with an Age of Empires rebate. I called and they would not accept copies of my timely submission as proof, requesting the cover of the owners manual and promising only to "consider" the rebate request. It seems that the Maryland processing center to which rebate was sent has lost its contract and the rebates now go to New Jersey. I did as I was told and will see what happens. More time and hassle.

There is no store rebate program to serve as back up if Microsoft renegs.

So for me, no more Microsoft rebates until they clean up their act. Sad because at tax time they often have some decent rebates. Will not do it this year. REBATER BEWARE.
