It appears that OfficeMax got me. I sent a rebate for a Western Digital external hard drive and they sent me an E Mail saying the UPC was not included.
It was included in fact it was stapled to the form , but I guess that is their way out of paying.:disgust:
 
Trying to get a rebate for some blank dvds and cables from tigerdirect but...

tigerdirect and onrebate (tigerdirect owns onrebate) are both down! they go out of business?

For the 40 dollar rebate, i have been waiting on that one for quite a while. The entries don't even show up on their website. I don't know what Parago is doing but i am sick and tired of waiting for these rebates to come back. Luckily I only bought one of these so i don't have to deal with these shady rebate companies.
 
Just wanted to post a thumbs up to Parago/Intuit for the TurboTax $10 rebate and $29.99 State rebate. I sent them in on Jan. 15 and received them both today (Jan. 29).
 
Wow, just about all 4 pages of this thread have complaints about Seagate HDDs and Frys/Outopost.com MAYBE Seagate needs their own private Seagate's a Deadbeat Rebate Thread.

Had I read this post when I bought my Seagate 200GB hdd, I might not have bought mine. Like most of you, I also got a postcard from Seagate stating
Seagate 200GB ATA Hard Drive from Fry's Electronics or Out - Serial number submitted is not a Seagate retail hard drive serial number.

BULL SHIT!

This really dissappoints me. I will have to call the 1800 753 9823 Seagate Resubmissions number during their bussiness hours. I was smart because right before I sent in the rebate with my original UPC, I made a copy of everything when I was at the post office. I was also thinking about sending it in via Certified Mail, but I wanted to save the $5 or $6.

I just got my $20.00 M.S. Flight 2004 rebate in the mail, and yes it was the printable online rebate form I used. I paid between $9.00 - $13.00 dollars for the game and they still accepted the $20.00 rebate.
 
well ive received 2 of the 4 seagate rebates i submitted. the 2 i did receive i sent in in november. i fired off an email or two and never got a response but did magically get my checks within 2 weeks of sending out emails.
 
Man, seems like Seagate was a bad choice. I sent mine in early December, and they didn't "receive" it until 12/26. Now it's been in final processing for over a month. I really hope I don't have to wait as long as some people have.
 
My Seagate rebate arrived today from the black friday outpost.com deal
I got a resubmit postcard a week or two ago...I emailed them that I did send in the proper items...and they said everything was fine....

Now poof,it's here.
I think emailing them definitly helped.
 
I got on one of the Segate $50 rebate back in late September/early October. I didn't receive the rebate until last week...that's 3+ months processing time. Good thing it didn't get rejected...
 
I got my $50 and $60 Seagate rebates, for 160GB and 200GB HD I got at Fry's I bought back in September. No problem with them at all... Just takes a while. I remeber I got a 80GB Barracuda before and the rebate took like 6 months. They did send a letter saying they were delayed, but I did receive it.

Just make sure it shows up online. Seagate rebates take a while, but they do make good drives. And 5 year warranties too!
 
Hi All, Im new to the forums, thought id post an update.

I checked the various rebate sites for my status on the following sent in rebates.

Seagate 400gb HD (comp usa 30$mir) Name not found in system

NEC 3500a DVD rw Dl (PCconnection 50$MIR) Name not found in system
FUJIFILM dvd-r Media (PCconnection 39.88$MIR) Name not found in system

Has anyone else partaken in these rebates? Im curious if anyone else is waiting on them
 
Anyone received the $350 rebate for the HP laptop from compusa thru TCA bought day before thanksgiving??

woohoo!!! got my $105 rebate from the bfg 6800 oc/half life deal yesterday! i was worried there might be some problem with it and then i'd be screwed since i sold the card in december. i only sent the rebate form in a month ago. i'm still waiting for a crummy $15 rebate from office max from last OCTOBER!!!
 
well i just checked the status on two other seagate rebates i sent in forever ago. they went from "valid and in final stages of processing" or something like that to "invalidated by seagate." this is rediculous. now i guess i wait for the postcards to find out the next step.

on a side note, best buys rebate tracking has got to be the worst. you only track by order or receipt number and offer number. not by name or address or anything like that. i had been checking their site for the status on a rebate i sent in over 3 months ago and it never showed up. now i check today and it says a check, which i have yet to receive, was sent last week.
 
After mailing my rebate in for the second time I recieved an email stating it had been recieved alone with a tracking# which I just checked and it has went from final processing to invalidated by seagate.
Guess I will waiting for the postcard as well.
 
Well, both my 120GB Seagate (11/26/04) and 200GB Seagate (10/16/04) rebates finally when back to valid and show check numbers on 2/3/05. Only took "umteen" phone calls. What a racket.
 
Got my $60 200gb Seagate rebate from last September's Fry's deal. Got my $20 and $60 200gb WD OfficeMAx rebate from Black Friday. Also got my $70 rebate from the 250gb Maxtor Best Buy deal last December; this one came pretty fast relative to the others.
 
Like posted before, Watch out for Seagate Rebates for hard drives. I saw my rebate, declared invalid. I called the number and ask for reason that why it is invalid as I have sent all the information and I have photocopies of submission.

I was told that it is final decision and nothing can be done. CSR told me that she doesn't know why it is invalid but it is invalid and decision is final. But I kept asking why and kept pushing... And then I was transferred to supervisor. Supervisor didn't ask me anything and simply said that she is going to validate it. Atleast now I see valid status for my rebate. But still waiting for rebate check.

Somthing stinks!!
