Yes. Try calling. The automated part of the phone system will tell you if your rebates are in the system.
 
Note - Sonicblue filed for chapter 11 banruptcy today. If you have an outstanding rebate for Rio, ReplayTV or anything else of theirs, you may need more than luck to get it back. Nonetheless, good luck !

Got my $190 rebate yesterday (3/24) from the Best Buy Toshiba S173 Laptop deal they were running at the beginning of February.

Remove the CDRW drive and make a "xerox" copy of the top of the drive where the model # info is and send that to them explaining that you no longer have the box or manual since it's been almost a year. Also, tell them you are tired of dealing with their crap and if they do not send your rebate you will file a formal complaint to the State AG, BBB and FTC. If they don't respond to that then follow through with your filing of a complaint and make copies to send to them.

HELP: For those of you that bought a 200GB Maxtor HD on 2/2 - 2/8 through compUSA, i need the offer number and the mailing address and Phone number. This is a $100 rebate but the copier cut off that information for me...I think that it might have been lost in the mail so I'm trying to resumit. Please let me know what the OFFER # is so I can resummit my information. Thanks.

If you submitted both BB Keyboard / Mouse Rebates from Black Friday, one was rejected. Takan previously noted that BB policy changed and they were accepting resubmissions. I received the other rebate this week.

Siemens Speedstream Wireless Router 2624.... received rebate for $20 instead of $30. It was for a different product. A new check for the difference is being issued. Call 'em up (on rebate form) if this has happened to you.

Amazon.com 10 Free DVD Rentals @ Hollywood Video with purchase of a Toshiba DVD player received 3/27/03.

Amazon.com Logitech optical mouse Free after $25 MIR sent 1/22, received 3/28.
 
CompUSA/Columbia FRS radio 2pk $25 rebate

Score one for complaining to the Better Business Bureau. After 5 months late the store manager wouldn't even talk to me anymore.

Last week I received the letter from BBB saying they would contact CompUSA. Today I received the check in the mail from TCA.

I'm very glad; but I'll still never do another CompUSA rebate deal...and that pretty much means I won't bother shopping at CompUSA again.
 
Got my Western Digital 100GB 1000JB (8MB version) Hard Drive rebate for $40! Purchased from the Best Buy sale awhile back.
 
Got my epson cx3200 Staples $50 gift check in the mail today from Coppell, TX.. They so don't want people to get the rebates that they don't even seal the envelope.
 
Still waiting on the Western Digital 100GB Special Edition 8MB cache $40 rebate purchased from the Best Buy deal in January. Sent both the Best Buy and Western Digital rebates out January 15. Got the $20 Best Buy one two weeks ago. Anyone else still waiting for the $40 Western Digital one?
 
Called today and apparently they never received the envelope that I sent containing my rebate form, rebate receipt, and original UPC :Q:frown:

Of course I made copies of everything 🙂, so now I have to resubmit to another address and wait another 8-12 weeks.
 
I have been waiting for a Dell rebate on a western digital 120 gig HD since November! This was an OEM drive and there was a ton of talk on the hot deals forum about it. I was able to get a drive and I sent in the rebate form. Now rebatestatus.com says that Dell is denying the rebate because the order does not qualify. I posted a note on the Dell community board this weekend, but no reply so far ...🙁
 
I'd call the FBI since your check was mailed through USPS it is a federal offense (mail fraud). I'd also contact your local USPS (united states post office) since it is mail fraud they will look into it as well. Don't you just love the government? At most the person that stole your check will serve some time and will have this on his record. How much money are you talking about? You can always take them to small claims court depends tho how much money they got from your rebate. I'd have a talk with your University as well and let them know maybe they can do something about this or press charges on this individual. I don't think you can sue Staple's / Rebate center since it cleary states not responsible for lost or mis directed mail. I guess before I do anything I would ask this individual to repay you in cash in a stated amount of time like 3 business days. I hate bastages that do stupid things like this, it's really not the amount of money they stole/took its all about the PRINCIPLE!:|
 
Update on WD 100 gb hd from Best Buy:
Monday I received the check from Western Digital for $40. This Friday I received the $20 check from Best Buy. Yes, folks, you do need to check up on them.
