Did anyone go for the officemax.com black friday FAR Cendyne dvd-rom drive? There was a $20 and a $25 rebate. The $20 was accepted, however, as of today rebateshq.com shows the $25 denied because "the purchase was not on the rebate required date" even though it was. The receipt clearly says Nov 29 2002, and the rebate clearly says Nov 29 2002. Is parago just messing with me and hoping I wont notice or something? What should I do?

Just call parago and explain/argue that fact, and they'll validate it, be firm but civil about the matter.

My Cendyne $30 CD-RW rebate was received by RebatesHQ on 11/23 Everytime I checked it kept saying, rebate is valid... within 30 days... So today I was getting a little irritated. I was going to call today, but I decided to check the status first. Woohoo! Check # is assigned. I suppose the holidays, not within 30 days but still not bad.

Mod: Updates for the main page:

The (800) 660-2810 listed on the first page under 'Young America' is actually for Circuit City only.
There are several call centers in Young America. Anyone have any more?

The (800) 283-7674 listed under Office Max is for the .com. The OM main office is 800-788-8080. Either one can connect you to the rebate center though you have to leave a voice msg and have them call back.

1-877-580-3348 is another # for Parago / RebatesHQ.



Does anyone have another number for the rebate processing center in Young America, MN that handled the Back to School Office Max free CD Player rebate from July '02 to Sept '02? The number on the form (888-826-4957) is no longer in service.

For the people asking about the OM Back to School CD Player rebate:
After leaving a voice message w/ the OM rebate center, they called me back within a few hours and told me I need to call "Young America" and gave me that correct number. I asked the name of the company and was told it's "Cash rebates for Officemax" , a small place that handles some of OM's rebates. Anyway, that number is (866) 633-8353. Mod may want to add this too.
Called that number, who weren't sure why I haven't received my CDP, so are doing a research claim or something on it and told me to call back in 10 days.

Anyone having problems with their $30 MIR for the Siemens 5-port 10/100 Switch from CompUSA? My 8 week waiting period just ended and no rebate in sight. I had to call those damn punks last week to send me my rebate check. I just checked online and they changed the status to "Fulfilling Reward" so I hope my check comes soon. They were going to keep my money or something.

I also have problems with a $10 MIR for a IBM Optical Scroll mouse i got from BestBuy. I gotta call the punk a$$es up this week to see where my check is at (the rebate office was closed or something when I called last week).

Other than those two rebates, I've been getting all of my rebates back (2 MS Optical Mice, 1 Cendyne 32x CDRW, 1 Netgear hub, Geforce4 card, ATI TV Tuner, and a couple other things).

I was doing the rebate on VirusScan/quickClean + Tax software that i buy from Staples.com around 12/19 (deal will run till some time before tax date).
The promotion call for free after rebate (30MIR and 30 upgrade) with tax software.
After file the first $30 MIR. I was surprise with the upgrade coupon showing only $20 not the $30. Beware! I will have to call staples and/or Mcafee for this matter tomorrow...

Rebatestatus.com (which handles most of Symantic, Amazon, and Dell rebates) rejected my Norton SystemWorks/Personal Firewall Bundle $40 rebate from Black Friday BestBuy, because of something to do with wrong UPC/Tabs from box. I have no idea want they are talking about or how to correct it, I sent the right UPC. They didn't return my call and I am still waiting on the E-mail that is supposed to take three days. :|

I've always used the rebate receipt for OfficeMax manufacture rebates, and never had a problem keeping the original.

Has anyone received a giftcard from OM for the purchase of the HPDVD200i during the Friends & Family Sale in October?? There was a big debate over whether or not the giftcard was $50 or $70....and the correct address to send it to. I have not received anything yet.

I did receive the $50 rebate on the drive from HP directly (Young America), I sent them photocopies of everything with a note explaining there were 2 rebates. I can't imagine why OM is taking so long..they got original documents & UPC.

With all the Dell 4550 system deals that required you to buy two to qualify, I'm surprised I couldn't find something in this thread already Here's the question: The rebate forms require the ORIGINAL packing slip. There was only ONE packing slip that listed both systems (including a $100 rebate, quantity two); do I submit a single rebate form for both rebates or send in one with a COPY of the packing slip, or ?????.

When I post on the Dell forums I can't get an answer from anyone at DEll. The on-line email to customer service go ignored. When I call the rebate center they say send in the $100 rebate form and the packing slip and they will magically send me multiple $100 checks, which I am highly skeptical about.

I received mine a couple of weeks ago and the correct amount of the GC was $90. Unless you sent the original HP UPC to OM you will not get the OM GC rebate since they will not accept copies even if there is also a manufacturer rebate available. I called twice before submitting my rebate to verify and was told both times I would have to choose either the OM GC rebate or the HP rebate. This is probably why you have not received yours?

You can request another packing slip from Dell See Link. I would definitely send multiple rebates.

I used a copy of the packing slip for the last Dell $100 rebate I did a few months ago and it worked just fine. The packing slip I received looked like it was printed on a regular black laser printer with all black characters (no blue Dell logos). I made a good "xerox" copy that looked just like the original. I was not trying to scam them or anything, I just like having the original documents for all my computer stuff.

One option for you would be to send the 1 original packing slip (make a copy for your records) with two completed rebate forms and a note explaining what you are doing since you have two PC eligible for rebates on the same packing slip.

Thanks Mizer and Lanyap. I know about the request for more packing slips but that's still just a copy and the Dell forums are full of people who lost theirs saying they never come when requested. Maybe someone who has actually submitted rebates in this situation can comment for a little more peace of mind.

Got three in recently:
$10 from Curtis for a speakerphone from OM; Sent 10/28/02; received 1/6/03
$30 from Cendyne for a 48x12x48 CDRW drive from OM; Sent 11/17/02; received 1/8/03
$20 from Maxtor for a 60 Gb drive from Staples. Sent 11/20/02; received 1/8/03. This goes with the $30 rebate from Staples that I already received to make the final cost on that drive to be ~$20. Not a bad deal !

Can you guys check your rebates on www.whereismyrebate.com, they apperently removed all my rebates -- pending ones and completed. Not sure if this is their system problem.
