I was just wondering, if my friend were to purchase an item from the store that has a $20 rebate with a debit card, would I be able to send in the rebate under my name and have the check written out to me? I ask this because my friend bought something for me while he was at the store and didn't realize that he was going to purchase it using a debit card. Now I'm worried that I won't be able to get the rebate because the name on the debit card used will not match up with mine. Thanks in advance.

There is a Rebate thread in Hot Deals for questions such as these.

I would call the number on the rebate form since some companies do not allow for transfer of rebate rights to a second person.

Haven't sent in for a rebate in awhile, but used to a good # of them in the past, and if nothing's really changed about it, as long as you have the receipt, UPC, and rebate form, you shouldn't have any issues. Shouldn't matter if they used CC, debit, cash, or check.
