In regard to rebate claim xxxx for GF-1062 for $32:

We regret to inform you that the above rebate claim has not been funded by the sponsoring manufacturer, Gigafast Inc., and therefore cannot be paid. Gigafast Inc. contracted with OnRebate.com Inc. to have OnRebate.com Inc. process Gigafast Inc. sponsored rebates but, in violation of the terms of this contract, Gigafast Inc. has not funded disbursements for several months and has not responded to our many funding requests or other attempts to reach them. As a result rebate disbursements to customers who purchased Gigafast Inc. products have not been made. At this point your rebate claim is being cancelled but your rebate details will be kept on file in the event that you are able to contact Gigafast, Inc. and get them to fund your claim.

BTW, do not buy any gigafast product if it requires rebate because it looks like they're out of money.

looks like the seller pulled a bait and switch w/the rebate offer. it's bullsh!t, and a good reminder of why to avoid rebates usually.

Where did you buy from?

I bought some small item (under $10 or $15) from a local store once that was FAR, but never received the rebate. We printed out their messages, or lack of them in some cases, and took it into the store, they refunded us the price of the product and said to keep the item.

ABB is right.

Since it sounds like Gigafast is flaking out on paying the rebate house, they're not approving any rebates for that manufacturer.

Your only recourse is to pursue it with the point of sale. If they advertised the rebate, they should take responsibility if it was unfairly denied and cannot be resubmitted or worked out with the rebate clearinghouse. Many store managers might not see it this way, but a good manager will concede this and pay the customer (at least to cover the cost of the lost rebate).

Contact the store. Technically it's the manufacturer's fault. If you want you could take them to small claims court. That'd be pretty funny.

Or just take it back and return the item and tell the store to deal with the manufacturer since they own that relationship. And if they give you a hard time, dispute the charge. A rebate is a contract and they broke it.
