(rebate dead) HOT again!! Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical @ Amazon, free after rebates!

How could it be back in stock? I ordered mine the 14th along with a blank CDR. I got my CDR right away and then just got a message from Amazon telling me that they cannot fill my order and that they are cancelling my order at this time. That's a bunch of sh*t. What sucks is that I saw the FAR deal for this mouse in Sunday's Amazon flier. They are obviously selling a lot of product that they can't supply.

Anyway... In the email that they sent me, there is a paragraph that intrigues me. What does this mean? Reimburse us for what? The $25 dollar Logitech rebate that we're not getting? I'd love to have a $25 Amazon GC out of this, but I don't know how to word a response to them. What are they saying exactly? Does anyone know?

If that's the case, pffft. They are a dime a dozen. Unless it's a stackable GC coupon that I can use with another promotional coupon. $5 is $5.

I did contact Amazon and told them that I'm not only upset that I won't be getting my mouse, but I will also be missing out on a $25 rebate. Let's see what happens. It was worth a shot anyway. The worse they can do is say no.

Mine shipped out last night and it should be delivered tomorrow. I'm excited! I'll have plenty of time to fill out the rebate.

When did you order? I ordered on the 14th. I want plenty of ammo to fire back at Amazon's csr's if they don't want to give me anything for cancelling my order on me. 😉

I ordered on the 19th - so that should give you plenty of ammo. One caveat - mine shipped from Illinois and I am in MI, so it's pretty close.
 
I just got mine today. It looks and feels good, but it is definetly not a 'gaming' mouse. It also matches my Blue tower. 😀
 
Must be bad luck for those who ordered on the 14th. I ordered on the 14th as well and got a cancelation. Had to laugh though, my recommended product on Amazon's homepage today was none other than the Blue Logitech Optical Mouse...

Oh.. That pisses me off! I live in Illinois and ordered the 14th, yet you got your mouse and I got a cancellation notice. I'm certainly going to let Amazon know that I'm not pleased about this.

i ordered the mouse on the 14th and it was shipped out on the 15th and it came on the 20th. i modded the mouses red led with a blue led so it matches and now it looks great!!!!🙂
 
In Sunday's paper there was an Amazon ad with this same mouse on the front page with a $24 rebate?? But I just checked the site and no such thing, hmmm.

I got my mouse yesterday. Funny thing... I ordered the mouse the $.99 Imation CDR and a $.99 TDK CDR. The extra CDR was for testing compatibility with my burner. Anyway, the TDK was not in the box but the packing slip said it was. They must have been used to all the orders coming through for the mouse and one CDR and not two!! 😀
 
I got mine today - sweet as hell 🙂. I just need to find a copy machine so I can get the packing slip copied.
 
Heh.. I just got a reply from Amazon with a $5 GC. Whoopty doo. I fired back and told them that I'm not pleased that others that ordered nearly a week later got their mice and I didn't get mine. We'll see what they say.

w00t!

Received mine yesterday along with the CDR Saturday (two separate boxes). Sent in the rebate today.

The mouse is decent for free 🙂 but I thought I would be using it replace my malfunctioning Intellimouse Explorer Optical. It's just not the same so I'll stick with the dying MS mouse for now. I think a blue LED is a necessary to make this mouse look good, but it looks okay in red.
 
Just got a reply from Amazon, they are sending me my missing $.99 CDR via 2nd day shipping! LOL!!

They sure are very apologetic in their emails.

So let's see if I've got this straight: First they sent you a $5 GC. You complained further. Now they sent you a free mouse. Hmm... book yourself the next flight to Vegas!!! 😀
