Reasons to use a Cybiko?

Ok, here's the story. My bf and I were at Target last night, and they had 2 Cybiko's for $25 each. We thought, hmm, carried them around, and then figured that we'd buy them, see if there's any use to them by looking online, and return them (unopened) if not. We're college students, so we can't exactly just go and drop even just $100 for a cheap Palm, so that's not an option at the moment. And $25 is a good chunk of money for us, so if we can't find good uses for them, we want to return them.

One thing I've found about reading online reviews is that a lot of people give them bad reviews because they can't actually send e-mails wirelessly. Now, I read the box and could figure out for myself that you could compose an e-mail, or read them offline, but not actually send them.

Oh, and I wouldn't keep mine if my bf wanted to return his, and vice versa, because one of the things we'd use is the wireless messaging.

Does anyone have one, two, etc, and like them? Hints, tips? We're wondering if there's some kind of underground thing like people did for the Cuecat, also.

Well, me and the GF have one, and we played with them for a little while, then tired of them. I'd really recommend a third one to set up as a CyWIG (wireless internet gateway) so you could use your Cybiko to send/receive emails all the time you were in range. My problem is, every time I tried to run one as a CyWIG, it would crash it. They've got some pretty entertaining games and useful utilities available for them. Of course, we got ours for free when that big contest went on this past summer.

I got one in that contest this past summer.
Never opened it.
I'm planning on donating it to those childrens gift-collection things this Christmas.

You can download games to them and play games on them. It's like a Gameboy but you don't have to pay for the games.

There is a great deal of homebrew development going on Cybikos and wireless messaging apps are either out there or will come out soon. You should get a couple. What is $25 anyway? Just don't eat for a day or two and get a Cybiko instead!

I should have gotten one in this contest... but I mailed the coupon late because I was irresponsible. I'm a smart guy.

Hmmm, seems like a decent price to me. Saw them at Staples when I was looking for Blackberrys and they were like 70 bucks or something.
