So I was at Costco yesterday upgrading my membership to executive and getting a new prescription for contacts. If anybody has ever considered getting their eye exam done at Costco, I'd highly recommend it. Whole process took under 30 mins, 75 bucks for contact lens exam.
Anyway, towards the end of the exam, the optometrist asks me "how much cash do you have on you". At first I was perplexed. "I have check or credit card" I responded. He quickly retorted "no no no, how much cash do you have"
"10 bucks" I reply. Inside, I'm all kinds of WTF
At this point, he has one of those trays of contacts in front of him. You know, the giant trays with like 100 individual contacts. He says "I can get you a much better price on contacts than outside". No stranger to shadiness (shady recognize shady?), we agree on a cash price for 4 boxes of contacts + a few extras. Needless to say, I have 14 pairs of contacts and no retail boxes for them.
I feel mildly dirty inside.
On a random note, I am now -4.25/-3.5
