Californians can buy beer all day sunday, until 2:00 am . Texas does not allow the sale of beer before noon on Sundays. Until 1985 Texas forbade the selling of Housewares on Sunday. It's also illegal to milk another person's cow in Texas. Up to a felony charge can be levied for promoting the use of, or owning more than six dildos. The entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned in Texas because it contains a formula for making beer at home.Originally posted by: CPA

Another example of class envy - or at least that's how I view it.
Am I the only middle class person who things this is assinine? California needs to be let go and handed off to China.
Not as assinine as a Texan telling a Californian how to mind their home.....
I'm sure Texas has a few laws of their own that need changing before they can claim moral / fiscal / legislative superiority.
hmmm....well, there's always that stupid Texas law that says car dealers can only be open 6 days a week. Other than that, once the Robin Hood property tax law is cleaned off the books (which is happening right now), then there's not much else to complain about here in Texas. Now, California on the other hand......
My personal favorite....A recently passed anticrime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed.
In Austin,
Wire cutters can not be carried in your pocket.
In Dallas,
It's illegal to possess realistic dildos.
In Galveston,
Any person who sits on a sidewalk may be fined up to $500.
In Mesquite,
It is illegal for children to have unusual haircuts. < That wouldn't fly in CA.
In Temple,
Cattle thieves may be hanged on the spot.
You can ride your horse in the saloon. < I guess it REALLY IS the wild wild west there still.
Clean your own home before commenting on your neighbor's.
