Rear speaker imaging on PC setup

Well I don't know if this question will ever get answered in the show off your desktop thread that I put it in so I decided to start a new topic. I've been thinking of getting a new set of speakers for some time. But I've been restricting my choices to Creative Speakers because of the speaker arms that I have in my setup pictured here. While the GigaWorks speakers that are out are pretty nice they're also pretty expensive. While the Logitech Speakers the (X-530s or perhaps the next model above) are much more reasonably priced. Any ideas as to how the rear sound imaging would sound if I put a pair of Logitech rears on the corners of my desk? Just want some thoughts on this before I actually go and purchase the speakers.

Basically, their corssover settings will probably different so you will ever get robbed of sound or overwhelmend by the redundancy of it.

wait..do you mean a set of computer speakers, such as speakers + amp?

Yes I mean a set of computer speakers. Wouldn't be an issue on my HT speakers since I can change the crossover settings, delay, etc.

your HT speakers?! When did those come into the picture?😕

I thought you just wanted to replace your or add some rears?

as for adding a logitech combo, keep inmind that those speakers are quite different.

Cambridge (gigaworks) are goign to be all around better performers with clearer highs and probably better mids, which will conflict with the performance of the logitechs...

<---boss has the ultra mega logitech 5.1 THX set and I think it shoulds lieek sh!t.

Ok, I guess I'll stick with my Cambridge speakers for a while longer. Haven't seen any deals on the Gigaworks speakers.

It's not so hot with the rears on the corners of my desk, but then > 2.1 for anything has vastly diminishing returns imo... as far as Logitech vs. Klipsch vs. Creative, you get what you pay for in terms of sound quality.
