Luckily this twat works in my building and seems trustworthy enough, so I didn't have to deal with calling the cops. But I really didn't need this...

That sounds like a mistake and a bad situation waiting to happen...

Bah, the cops won't come out for a non-injury accident in most cases. They have better things to do. Just goto the PD station and file your own report.

Well, I'll admit that I'm not the most experienced with accidents (not that that's a particularly bad thing). My only one has been getting rear-ended last August - we called the police and they were there within 45 minutes, probably less. I didn't want to take any chances since I was obviously not at fault...

No but you try paying $400 a month for something and see if you like people slamming into it.

I do, and my car has been into the shop twice for major damage. Never have I complained about it once.

I know for a fact that police in my area will not come out to non-injury accidents on private property.

Just because you have never met a women with the capacity to handle a motor vehicle does not mean jack, example, my mom is a oriental immigrant and has been driving in America since the early 60's and has only been in 1 accident in over 40 years, and that was over 40 years ago and she was not at fault. Also she routinely takes 2000 mile road trips to see her daughter.
