Rear Bike Light

My cygolite hotshot 100 bit the dust after less than 1 year (it will no longer charge). It was super bright: too bright at night without a decent way to dim it but great for daytime riding.

I don't really want to spend upwards of $25+ for something that will end up in a landfill in less than a year, so I'm looking in the $10-15 range with the expectation that the next light will also end up in a landfill in just as short of time. I'm looking for a light that has solid on, flashing mode, and preferably a dim mode/dim flashing mode. I'm leaning towards one that has removable batteries so I don't run into the same issue where a failed battery renders the entire unit useless.

Does anyone have any recommendations?
