I find the whole 'start a nuclear war' thingy to be nonsense.
You know a guy isn't full of shit when his first argument is about nuclear war and fear mongering.

What shocks me is that these dumb arguments work. Back when Scotland had a vote to leave the UK, the media was saying that leaving the UK would mean the complete destruction of the pension system for old people. What did they base that on? Nothing. They just lied about the whole thing. People fell for it, and Scotland voted to remain in the UK where it has less control over its own laws. Now the same thing is happening with the UK and leaving the EU. It might lead to nuclear war if they leave!!! Better vote to lose your democratic freedom and bow down to your masters in Brussels, peasant.

The Soviets recently hacked the DNC site.
Putin wants to "help" Donald Trump become president of the US.
Hmmmm
I wonder why?
Could it be Putin knows this would lead to the fall of world democracy and specifically democracy within the US?

Putin is a smart dictator. Very wise.
Putin would love nothing better than for the US to elect Donald Trump.
And Putin is well aware besides the damage president Trump would do to America herself, the bigger picture here we must take note of is the damage that would be done to every one of America's allies by a president Donald Trump.
If Putin, through a President Donald Trump, could drive a permeant wedge between America and her allies, that for Putin would be the whole ballgame.

The damage Trump would do to America is probably not that interesting for Putin and his goals. The Putin goal here would be the damage and crippling Trump would do to American allies.
If Putin could pull that off, could set up that play, well it is no wonder Trump elected as president is a major game piece for Putin.
Naturally, Putin needs a US president elect Donald Trump.

Watching America and her past failures from republican leadership probably is not that surprising to Putin. But Donald Trump gives new opportunity for spreading that failure into and onto other countries of democracy.
Can you imagine Putin picking off American allies one by one while president Donald Trump is preoccupied building walls and deporting Muslims?
Putin can.
Actually, Putin is relying on it.

Speculate much? Seriously that's some black helicopter/Obama birther stuff. Any ally or enemy wants to gather intelligence to predict stuff. I've read there were hacks on McCain

So the arugment is Trump is so short tempered he will nuke anyone at the smallest provocation? I think its worth noting Lyndon Johnson ordered a strike of Cairo with nuclear-armed F-4s during the USS Liberty attack because he thought it was the Egyptians, before turning the strike package back when he realized it was Israel's doing. Of course people debate today whether he knew those F-4s were nuclear armed. But if you are saying Trump isnt qualified because of his temper, then plenty of prior presidents by definition also werent qualified.

Aren't we headed for a one world government? Why do you oppose it?

Ah, but the cat, in between toying with a mouse, holding its tail down with one paw while herding it with another, occasionally dined on one, for the feline knew that the tenant in infinite wisdom had purposely allowed the rodents to thoroughly populate the place so that the cat may never run out of food and play.

Just a veiled threat of using nukes in a public speech against another world leader is completely unacceptable. Remember, his words carry the entire weight of the US military and nuclear arsenal. He can't keep himself from making fun of people's disabilities or to boast about the Orlando massacre or to tell his own party to shut up, so no, I don't trust him to use discretion with respect to our nuclear arsenal.

We could easily slip into another Cold War off of words and ego. Then the only thing separating us from complete nuclear war would be Donald Trump's discretion. Think about that!!!

Hi Subyman,

Either some people don't realize the seriousness of this due to being too young and naïve or else have become so inoculated to have lost a healthy aversion to such, as to have rendered them ill-equipped to make a rational decision. This, then is how civilizations are destroyed and planets become uninhabitable for life.

Wait, warplanes can enter foreign territories for the purpose of committing acts of war and be armed with nukes without the presidents direct knowledge???

Democracy is 3 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what's for dinner. Most Americans are "the 1%" globally. Do you think people in poor countries will vote for your wallet? Of course they will. They're not stupid.

Fern may not rank the nuclear arsenal very high on his list of concerns. As for me, pretty much the first test is if you'd trust someone with command of the military and the nuclear weapon stockpile. I wouldn't trust Trump to sell me real estate, so it's a no go for me.

As for Clinton, at least I trust her to be very careful with our nuclear capability. trump obviously doesn't understand the power of nuclear weapons since he so easily would give Japan and South Korea the go ahead to start their own program. If he can't get nuclear non-proliferation right then that should end the discussion right there.
After all, when one thinks of Hillary Clinton, trustworthiness and good judgement immediately spring to mind.
