House 1. Loved the place. Deal fell through on the last day, thanks to some mistakes made by our broker.
Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. We put in a purchase offer on another place. It was faxed to the seller's realtor immediately. Our realtor said he had trouble with her in the past because she would drag her feet to try to get someone to buy through her (higher commission). Well, that's what happened. Apparently, she waited a week and ended up with another offer.
Now, we've been asked "what's the highest you will go on this property?"
Her position is obviously, let her buyer know and let them go $500 more than us, so she gets an extra few thousand on the commission. So.... we're screwed again. GRRR!
