Wasn't quite sure where to put this post to be honest, since there isn't a dedicated drivers forum, but I figured this seemed like the best fit...

Anyway, knocked this up earlier and figured someone else might be interested in using it :)

Code:
------------------------------------------
Realtek Streamlined HDA Driver v1.0 (R249)
------------------------------------------

This streamlined driver is built from the latest R249 source (11/06/2010)
and will provide you with a barebones sound setup for your system. If you
find that you're missing some of the Realtek control panel features, you
can install the appropriate driver over the top of this one. Bear in mind,
however, that the Realtek Driver download is 30mb for XP/2k3 and 60mb for
Vista, and will load far more libraries into memory on bootup and during
day-to-day use of your PC; on a netbook, the performance hit that this can
cause can be sizable.

Either slipstream using nLite or install using "Have Disk..." from Device
Manager (devmgmt.msc); it works for me, and it should work for any Realtek
HD Audio chipset - your mileage may vary.

Enjoy!

And here's the AC'97 version :)

Code:
---------------------------------------------------
Realtek Streamlined AC'97 Driver v1.0 (6035 & A406)
---------------------------------------------------
This streamlined driver is built from the latest 6035 source (09/07/2009)
for Windows 7 / Vista 32-bit and 64-bit, and A406 source (10/01/2008) for
Windows XP 64-bit, and Server 2003 32-bit and below.
These drivers will provide you with a barebones sound setup for your system.
If you find that you're missing some of the Realtek control panel features,
you can install the appropriate driver over the top of this one. Bear in
mind, however, that the Realtek Driver download is 18mb for XP/2k3 and 30mb
for Vista, and will load far more libraries into memory on bootup and during
day-to-day use of your PC; on a netbook, the performance hit that this can
cause can be sizable.
Either slipstream using nLite or install using "Have Disk..." from Device
Manager (devmgmt.msc); it works for me, and it should work for any Realtek
HD Audio chipset - your mileage may vary.
Any problems, feel free to discuss them on the official thread, which can
