Realtek I2S Audio Codec - Asus T200TAC

I recently bought an Asus T200TAC hybrid laptop/touchpad and it is fantastic with the exception that the sound in the speakers and headphones is a bit weak even at 100% volume. I checked the Realtek website and there isn't any software download for the I2S and I have the latest Asus drivers. There isn't an enhancement tab as with most other sound devices.

Am I stuck with getting amplified headphones? Would it make more sense to get USB headphones that would have their own drivers? Anyone else have and resolve this issue?

Thanks,
Fannin

As a dirty fix you can get USB powered speakers. Not much portability in that. Maybe the speakers or chip is weak.

You did check the volume levels...right?

It's a reason I like VLC, you can get more volume out of that, but can only be used in movies.

Yea I checked volume levels using the Realtek driver software as well as the speaker level. I just wish it supported the HD drivers but it's a different chipset. I think I'm stuck with USB headphones which isn't too terrible.
