Look up a company called Furutech and you will understand how people can buy these cables.

I have never seen a USB cable with LED indicators.

Buying this cable for $10 because it has cool blinky-lights or even because its more durable is one thing ... buying for its claimed performance advantages is laughable.

Edit: And buying it at BB for $33 for any reason is stupid.

The Monster concept is stupid but for $10 if you really need a cable and can't seem to find any it's not too bad a deal.
Seriously though, what's with companies like HP NOT to include data cables with printers anymore? I think this whole cost reduction thing has gone waaay too far.

Exactly. I bought a Samsung printer not long ago, and I had to buy a separate USB cable. The cable cost me about $30. I wouldn't have spent that much if I didn't need the printer right away.

I'd rather die than pay $33 for it.

Wow, a weak rant about the only reasonably priced Monster cable ever seen. Congratulations.

I'd buy it for $10, but not the $40 that was its' original price. Despite all the ridiculous claims, I'd wager that the Cable as a whole is of a very good quality that generic cables don't come close to matching.

Alright i got this cable last night, i got it for free with google check out. The cable is wrapped really nicely but i wouldn't expect anything less for a $40 USB cable. I plugged it into a 750gb drive to see how this blinking light works. Well sure enough the light blinked but its on the end that you connect to the device and its a little light. Once i put the hard drive back where it belonged i was not able to see any light at all..worthless but it gets better. This light is supposed to let me know that there is a good solid connection to my device, at least thats what i read. Well I unplugged the hard drive and guess what the light continued to blink. Now i know monster cables are just the awesome of the awesome but according to this light its soo elite that its still connected when its not. This cable definitely delivers on the hype of monster!

I like monster cable, but not nearly as much as bose. There's no profit margin like a rip-off profit margin. And it's better for society that the financial balance be in favor of ripoff companies rather than people stupid enough to get ripped off in such a manner. Wealth should be proportional to intelligence, it's good there are companies trying to maintain such a balance.
