Perknose was up to 1,879 in his P&N thread, so that would be 1,884 assuming they were from Iraq.

Don't know the number, right off hand, from Afghanistan.

OOPS.....sorry guys...I just used the title as a quote you would hear...

the meaning of this thread is that the media misuses the word troop

PSA MEDIA troop =/= individual soldier

Weak rant, especially considering in the definition it says:

2. troops Military units; soldiers.

So if troops is soldiers, wouldn't a troop be a soldier?

Ah yes, Mr. Rooney, the quintessential (sp?) old fart of 60 Minutes. We have a few of those here at ATOT as well. 🙂

Always something to aspire to - being compared to Andy Rooney. That's something every young man wants 😕

You're ranting about the grammatical mistakes of the media. Yet according to your initial post, you're wrong. " 2. troops Military units; soldiers."

That being said. Do you think those five men that died today give a fvck if they were called a troop or a soldier?
