Does anyone else's legs get really sore the next day after a nite of drinking? I've read something about lactose acid blah blah but I seem to be the only person among my peers that have really sore legs after. And how come the leg muscles get sore?
UPDATE:
lactic acid is produced by muscle tissue and red blood cells when oxygen levels in the body are low and we break down sugars for enery.
(i.e) when you work out, you're reducing the delivery of oxygen throughout your body causing an increase in lactic acid production. this increase causes your muscles to feel achy, heavy, uncomfortable, etc.
your liver breaks down lactic acid. when you drink and bombard your liver with alcohol, it has to work to metabolize the alcohol in your system so you don't die (alcohol is a poison to the body, i mean i drink too but every day is a little much) so this causes a buildup of lactic acid in the body which will, again, lead to achy heavy sore legs/kness/arms whatever.
