I've downloaded the latest version of the comanche 4 demo and am having terrible results with my radeon 8500. The performance is so bad that the game is unplayable at 640x480 with all of the detail settings turned all the way down. All the other games I've tried work great and perform as well as expected (well...except Wolfenstein keeps freezing my system, which it never did with my GF2...).
Anyway, my system specs are:
Iwill kk266
duron 600@1000 (7.5*143...I am positive this is not at fault, so please don't tell me to clock it back down)
768 megs pc133 sdram@222 timings
windows 2000 pro
