Could be bad keyboard...could be virus/adware. Could be a loose connection that disconnecting/reconnecting the keyboard would fix.

Well you would have to take the laptop apart partially to get the keyboard to unplug/plug back in. It depends on the model.

Dell's are not that hard to get apart...if I could see some pictures of the keyboard, etc. I could tell you how to do it.

First make sure you haven't got anything stuck under keys second what apps were you/are you running when this happens? Ummm what have you recently installed are you sure that you have good up to date adware/spyware protection?
