really odd new problem with Media Player.. ?!?!

When I click on SOME mpeg files on the internet, media player plays them, but about half of the files I click dont actually play properly at first. I hear the sound, but the picture doesn't move. Then, if I simply click a second time so the file reloads, it will always play just fine.

Weird huh?

Any ideas?

What codec are the files using? Divx? Or is it random codecs?

I use to have that problem sometimes... then I switched to MPC and never looked back. 😀

What is MPC?

Media Player Classic... it looks like an old school version of Windows Media Player, but it's completely up-to-date and kick ass.

I've only noticed it on mpegs...

it has to do with the codecs that you have installed make sure that your media player is up to date.
