Is that an MG? Or a Triumph? My friend had the same problem. He was in New Orleans, and his MG was in Houston. The damn thing maxes out at like 50mph and had a tendency to overheat when highway driven for more than a few hours. He never did end up getting it to new orleans. You can get a service to ship it for around $500-700, though.
Biggest thing with driving it back is I don't know if it would make the trip.Originally posted by: Confused
Fly there/drive it back?
Read the fvcking thread before you post asshat. I stated that I was unsure if the car would make it, and others have been helpful in providing information on shipping services.Originally posted by: notfred
Why not just change the title to "Check out my cool old car and my big ass house!" since that's what you really mean, unless you are seriously incapable of figuring out the answer: Spend a weekend driving it, or pay someone to ship it.
Umm, thats not even his house, its probably his parents. I could post some other comments but that would get me banned.Originally posted by: notfred

I started the thread seeking opinions and information, and you, as usual, have to take your fianceless ass and crap in a thread.
I seriously wouldn't try to put that sort of mileage on it. I really think a shipping service would be best. Unfortunately, it's not cheap.Originally posted by: minendo

Fly there/drive it back?It runs well and all, but we have not tried putting 1000+ miles on it at one time.
Yeah I saw that. I've seen anywhere from $700 on up and I think $700 still sounds really cheap. Maybe I could have AAA tow it. I get up to 100 miles per tow.Originally posted by: werk

What about driving it a couple hundred miles, then towing, then driving, then towing again, etc?Originally posted by: minendo

That's only 10 or so different towing companies.
