what's there? avast, volumne controls, contact compaq req'd, display (another issue yet unresolved will explain later) roboform, Sygate firewall, spybot S&D

Once upon a time I installed accesability feature so I could see the screen better, since I have gotten better glasses and cant seem to turn it off, makes everything huge. Sometimes upon bootup things get really huge and go back to the increased sized. I cant figure out how to turn it off. I removed accesibility feature from control panel, still hasnt stopped it.. how do I turn this accesibility off? I went to the microsoft site and cant figure it out. They show how to turn it on, but not how to turn it off.

Can you guys help?

I haven't used ME in ages, but is there a accessibility feature in Control Panel? Maybe you could turn it off there.

Have you ran Avast & Spybot, if not update both & run. SuperAntispyware would also be good (update).

right click a blank space on the task bar>select Processes, is anything using a lot of the CPU, System Idle should be 95-99.

Again pcpitstop.com is also a great place to learn from. Join & do their full test, it tells help a lot about your PC hardware, programs, problems & fixes. you could post the link back here so lxskllr could look at the results. Also you can post the link there in User to User for added help if you want.

I cant use pcpitstop, it wont let me for some reason. Says unsupported.

I right clicked the systems tray and nothing like that is there just properties, so I used that and removed some things from start up, hoping that will stop mem hog problems.

I read in a forum that the sygate for my system causes problems (SMC not responding) is my latestest error, it told me to download and use sygate 5.5 build 2525 but then I found out their is a security breach in sygate 5.2525 so alhtough I downloaded it I havent installed it and uninstalled the one you suggested I use. I guess the original system Win98Se on my machine interferes with sygate the one I am currently using and 5.2525 it doesnt. Butthe security breach worried me so I didnt use it. Any ideas>

As far as the accessibility feature, it seems to be missing now. I thought by removing it I would elimate my problem of large icons and large print but it occasionally does it anyway. How do I get it back and how can I remove the problem? Tried sys wipe about 6 months ago, thing updated itself and it came back.

Also, another forum Im in I suggested the thank you button that I have seen here, but now I dont see it, I was going to ask for the script for them to use it.. but it must be another board! LOL
One last thing, (I keep forgetting to mention) I cant use my firefox. I can use it, I jsut cant type into the forums now. Any ideas? I have been using the IE... But I have lost all my bookmarks!
My memory is a wipe... I have been sick with the flu.. sorry I havent checked in. It is pretty bad this year. I suggest all of you get yourself some bonine (anti naseau medication) over the counter at CVS and some Gatoraide to rehydrate and keep them handy. This flu you wont be able to go out and get them when its hit you.

Lets do 1 thing at a time... ME isn't officially supported by FireFox. I thought you had it working, but apparently there's a few bugs. I would uninstall FireFox, and give Opera a try. Opera still supports ME. Once you get a secure browser going, we'll work on the rest ;^)
