hey im overclocking for the first time and i just thought my temps seem a little low.
i have my FSB set to 333 (3.0GHZ) but my temps are still ridiculously low.

right now core temp is saying my temps are 22 20 15 20 for my cores.

i have my voltages set to auto and from what i read, once i set those manually it will run even cooler.

im using an antec900 case with the fans all turned to hi mode, a tuniq tower with it set to 2000RPM.

how far do u think i can push this card if these temps are this low for 3GHZ?

ive tried realtemp, core temp, and speed fan(adjusted to +15) so these temps must be right. i do keep the computer in the furnace room where its probably 10-15 degrees Fahrenheit cooler. how far do u think i can push this chip

also once it starts to get warm out could my system start to become unstable if i push it really far. (im guessing yes)

I take it your Q6600 is a G0 stepping? Whats the temperature of the room in Celsius? Also what are the core temps under 100% load?

Have fun :)

Load temps are really all that matters in terms of stable OC. Idle temps can misrepresent your overclocking headroom because we have no idea how good or how poor your case airflow really is. Until you turn that CPU into a serious heatsource inside your case and see what your temps are after ~2hrs of small FFT no one can really give you any estimates in good faith.

We can still make random guesses if that will make you feel better ;)
