Really hot or scam? Xbox and GameCube systems cheap

Ok, this guy is either really rich and wants to share the wealth, or a scam artist. He claims to have bought 10,000 units of Xbox and GameCube systems and are selling them for $79 and $49, respectively. That would mean 20,000 units, and even at $1 each, would mean $20,000, and at a more reasonable $50 (which is still alot cheaper than it cost to manufacture) would $100,000. Hm..... is that fish I smell?

The only real place you can buy it at is Japan in Asia, because China and Hong Kong do not sell it legally.

Reasons of Marketing and Money:
1. If you can get more for it, you will.
2. If you can't get enough money for it, you'll still try.
3. No one will do favors for you, so why should you do it for them?

Anyways, his rating seems to be good, but that is not any indicator of well intentions. He for some reason only will do C2it. What negatives does this payment mehtod have? I've only used PayPal. In his previous auctions that have ended recently, he prefers paypal, money orders, and checks. Also, none of his other auctions has this kind of page formatting. Hm....

Anyways, it seems too good to be true, and you know the old saying...

Anyways, this is a scam. Do Not Buy This!!!!

yeah so do i... all those people are gonna be pissed.. i went through and looked at there ratings and most had been on ebay for a good amount of time..

i would stay away. does not look like his usual auctions. i think someone hacked his ebay account and / or he is trying to scam some people using his low cost past auctions to build feedback

You know, it's funny that you didn't reply with that same line in the paypal scam threads.

Think for a minute, why, oh god why did I post this?.... to alert people?

A guy from Florida who sells glowing corona bottles on ebay (yes, check his past auctions) went out and bought 10000 game consoles for half of their manufacturing price just to sell on ebay. Raise your ahnd if you think this guy even has $10000 to buy them at a buck each. Oh yeah, mister big spender can do this but not accept .30 each for the paypal credit card fees... And he got 38 bids ... wow... lol... I gotta ask though .. when it is obviously not legit and you even say it isn't , why DO you post it ?

It's frightening that eBay accts are being hacked into like this. Has anybody dropped an e-mail to eBay or the seller?

One of the other scams like this was discovered because the seller started getting e-mails about auctions he didn't post. Of course, if the scammer has co-opted the e-mail address, that won't work, but if so then the real eBayer should have gotten an e-mail about the address change, I think.

In any case, these scams suck.

This is truly bizarre. c2it is relatively safe... maybe he's trying to get a bunch of people to register giving him referral $ ($5/person) then cancelthe auctions. In any case, truly bizarre.

Oh, by the by, when you click on the c2it link, a referral code is put into the address bar. That could be the reasoning behind this auction. Maybe someone gets bucks for people signing up for c2it.

I called up c2it, and gave them the e-mail address specified by the text in the auction. So, they're aware of the auction.

I was told that, if the item is never sent that it's an issue to take up with the credit card company. Obviously they'd look into fraud, but there is no guarantee that you'd get your money back.

I'd expect to see thsi auction closed before it finishes.
