Really FAST mouse in WInxp

After installing winXP my mouse moves to fast when I am playing UT. It doesnt matter what the mouse setting is at in the game it still moves way to fast. I heard that XP uses some sort of mouse accelerating, can I turn that if it is being use or is there another reason my mouse is moving so fast.

Was your WinXP an upgrade? If so, I'd try uninstalling UT and then reinstalling it.

You need to turn down/off mouse acceleration from the control panel>mouse icon.
I use a "slow" acceleration setting, with the mouse sensitivity set to about 25% and I am happy with it's performance in games like RtCW, Tribes 2, UT, etc.
