Any way to change the opacity? I don't like how seethrough it is. I haven't been able to find anything on google.

*Right click desktop
*personalise
*window colour
there you can set the opacity and colour

also if you dont like the task bar style then
*Right click task bar
*properties
*Tick use small icons
*Taskbar buttons - combine whenever task bar is full :) i think it looks much better with this vista style

looks better and works betters. The new style is highly inefficient.

Yeah that's the first thing I changed as well. Having it on the left is nice too if you have a widescreen-- gives you more vertical viewing area for webpages. Also, having it on the left means your mouse almost always travels to quadrants 2 and 3 of quadrant 2 of your desktop realestate. Otherwise at the bottom, it's quadrants 3 and 4 of quadtrants 3 and 4. IE, it feels faster and more efficient this way. Also, scanning down a column is easier than across a row for the window you're looking for.

So with personalizing I've been able to make it dark enough that it resembles the Vista Taskbar. I think the thing I liked most about it being darker is how that "anchors" the taskbar buttons somewhere. Before they're too see through; too ephemeral.

My theme is now rather dark grey, but I'll deal with it.
