Very nice indeed. Good mix too. You get some stuff from the 'timeframe' of the artist you choose and then some newer stuff that would be a fairly close match. Best of all it's VERY easy to use.

Thanks OP!

Like listening to awesome radio. So whats the verdict with the paying thing? I havnt seen any mention of it on the site...

Free? Free with ads? Pay after 10 hours?

Edit: Dur, I'm stupid.

Q: How much does it cost?

Pandora is available in two forms. Both versions have exactly the same features.

The first form is an advertising-supported version which is entirely free. Over time we'll be incorporating ads into this version of Pandora.

For those who want to steer clear of advertising, subscriptions are available in two different flavors:

ANNUAL: 12 months of unlimited use for $36
QUARTERLY: 3 months of unlimited use for $12

Is it just the ads on the site or like.. audio ads?

The other benefit (in addition to avoiding the ad/ads) is that you can skip ahead as much as you want. With the trial if you skip enough songs it will say that you cannot any longer for another hour.

I hit the "cannot skip ahead" thing, but I just switched "stations" and skipped around some more. o_O

Yeah, simply load another station and then load the first one again and you can skip as much as you like.

Is anyone else having problems with pandora? Streaming seems to be really choppy, like they've just hit a critical point and don't have enough bandwidth.

So is it working for everyone else?

Am I the only one currently having problems?

Also, I have some advice -- Pandora makes really, really good instrumental rock stations. Pick an instrumental track from one of your favorite artists and you'll have a station playing great background music.

Always make stations from songs rather than from artists. Try and think of songs you love with unique attributes. I've had very good results with instrumental stations -- they tend to have fewer songs I don't like than lyrical music.

My favorite station by far is "Battle without Honor or Humanity" radio. Give it a try.

I bought 14 CDs a few days ago, all bands I found on pandora. It's been two years since I bought CDs.
