Really bad toilet stain

I've got this toilet stain that has caked itself onto the toilet for a long time that I have been trying to get rid of but the process of removal has been difficult. I've let the toilet dry out and then use the toilet brush which has worked a bit, but this "patch" of what ever also covers a part of the toilet I can't access. It use to cover the entire lower portion of the bowl, where the jet is but it is still covering the part of the bowl where it makes an S shaped turn before going out the other end. I'm tempted to remove the toilet altogether and flip it rightside up but I don't think that will provide any further access to the toilet. I've used a ton of bleach trying to get rid of this patchwork of stains to no avail.

So, I'm wondering now, what other "caustic" agents can I use on this toilet that won't destroy the porcelain like in that episode of Breaking Bad when Jesse put the acid in the bath tub and it ate through the tub. Is using liquid ammonia any stronger than powdered bleach? Should I go with liquid bleach instead or something? I don't want to create an environmental disaster zone with my attempt to clean my toilet.

Oh boy another FB toilet thread. Try a cup muratic acid aka HCL found in pool section at lowes. Will digest those salts easy and won'y eat porcelain.

Have you tried wearing gloves, draining the toilet and using various tools to scrape it off?
Toilet brush is a soft little pansy tool. Get in there with some metal stuff.

If that doesn't work, you may have to consider that the porcelain is permanently stained and the only solution is a new throne.

Pic of the stain or thread fail.

It's definitely not permanently stained as I've slowly been able to "chip off" what ever is caked on, problem is I'm starting to get to the point of the toilet where I can't scrub it at all which I feel is part of the reason why the toilet stops up more than it should. (no smooth porcelain in certain areas)

Is muriatic acid one of those "all in one" chemicals used for a variety of purposes? I used some "CLR" to remove rust from some badly rusted parts from my stove when I was repairing it. I have some drano, but it says on the bottle not to use with plungers or toilets. I don't have a clog, so there will be no "plunging", therefore I'm wondering is there any other reason why I can't use this with the toilet?

What affects does drano have with porcelain?

It's unlikely that any sort of stain/residue would cause your toilet to not function properly.
Unless you have a huge cluster of zebra mussels, its not going to affect the toilet flow.

Where are you located? You could have some lime build-up from hard water.

You know that phrase, if it's yellow let it mellow? Well I took it a little bit too far and let some urine set in the toilet for days at a time before flushing. This happened over and over which eventually caused this buildup. That plus the fact that I didn't bother cleaning the toilet with a brush and bleach until it was too late was the primary reason why this happened. As for the clogs, I figure that if the surface isn't slippery, it may be just enough to cause what ever I'm flushing to not go down so easily.

get a pumice stone for toilets. they'll get rid of any stain you can think of. Just only use it on the porcelain .

A buildup like that won't cause flow problems.

Get a big metal file and go to town. If you can't reach it, then don't bother, you're never going to get it.

I poured some drano in it, goanna let it sit for a while. How long is too long? If I let it sit for like 8 hours, is it going to react with the porcelain or something?

Just tell your mommy you left skid marks in the toi-toi.

She'll clean it for you, just like she always does.

For those who aren't aware, Drano is just Bleach and Lye, nothing special.. Also considering that is clearly states that it's safe for porcelain on their website, I've come to the conclusion that they don't want people using them in the toilets because it could splash up on them and that it's ineffective for unclogging toilets.

I have a slow-running toilet. What Drano® product can I use to get it running freely again?
==================================================
The only Drano® product recommended for use in slow-running toilets is Drano® Prevention. When used according to label directions, the microorganisms in this product will break down toilet paper and organic matter in pipes, which can slow water flow. (This product will NOT open a completely clogged toilet.)

Do not use any other Drano® product in toilets. Drano® Kitchen Crystals Clog Remover generates heat that can cause the vitreous china in the toilet bowl to crack. Drano® Liquid Clog Remover and Drano® Max Gel Clog Remover do not contain microorganisms. The trap configuration in toilets prevents the Drano® Liquid Clog Remover and Drano® Max Gel Clog Remover from reaching areas where matter can accumulate and cause slowness, making them ineffective.

have you tried licking the stain off????

carve down the end of the toilet brush handle, insert in drill, go at it.

Believe it or not, this method actually works. The trick is to shave down the toilet brush evenly. If done incorrectly, the brush will spin wildly out of control. However, done correctly, this will turn an ordinary toilet brush into a cleaning machine. Everyone knows this.

Your parents are as disgusting as you? Or do you have toilet down in the basement that your parents don't use?

You are a class act dhr Fleabag. And you wonder why you cant attract women. Or at least fear them. Yes yes come on in, don’t mind the stagnant urine pool in the bathroom.
And you wonder why everyone is absolutely certain that you live in your parents basement.

You let it sit for a few days… Did you set a new loitering record at Walmart? Or perhaps you couldn’t make bail after the Frys staff called the police on you.

BTW - scraping and then muratic acid works. And the microorganisms harmed will be those that you excreted. And then cultivated in your nasty bowl.

Drano® Liquid Clog Remover and Drano® Max Gel Clog Remover do not contain microorganisms.

WTF?

Why would I want drano to contain microorganisms...?
