Ok, after weeks of reading through forums and junk like that, I concluded that a GeForce FX 5700 Non-Ultra, an Athlon XP 2500+, an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe, and a Zalman CNPS-7000A-AlCu would be enough to keep me patient till Socket 939, and PCI-E. When I got it, I applied AS5 like i usually do, as the AS instructions say, and make sure that its a nice thin layer on the die. I bumped the FSB up to 200, and the VCore to 1.75, only to realize that 1. this thing runs real hot (like 50C idle) and 2. its really unstable, Prime 95 only lasts like 24 minutes. i set it back down to 166 FSB and 1.65 VCore, this thing still runs like 48C idle, i have the Zalman cooler on MAX (i disconnected the fan mate entirely) and i have the ASUS fan throttling feat. disable
