Really Bad Base

As you can see, the base of the Ninja was really bad for transfering thermals away from the cpu. It took me two sheets of 200 just to get to a level point before I started to clean up the grooves. Did make a big difference...E6750 @ 3.6 is 34 idle and 54 load.

Just discoloration, you should've seen my BTF-90's base, it was BAD. But I didn't have the equipment to lap it so I just put it on. Seems to work just fine :)

No, that's no discoloration...I had been lapping for some time to get to that point. I ended using two full sheets of 200 grit just to get a level surface.

It was worse Aigo. It had an awful center and a small bulge off to one edge. Awful.

I'd really like to see CMM done on these bases to see how true they really are.
