Really awesome webcam?

So I'm getting into computer vision as a hobby. I need a convenient way to get good quality input - so I'm looking for a webcam. On paper, they pretty much all look the same. I don't know enough about them to really distinguish which ones are better than the other. Halp!

I really need some great video quality. High resolution is a plus, but 640x480 is all I absolutely need as long as it's a sharp, good quality picture. More resolution than that would be nice, though. Some cameras are more tolerant and still produce a good image under non-optimal light conditions, which is definitely what I want.

Also, I don't care too much about still picture quality and resolution, although I'd imagine that a high quality still picture would be a byproduct of a good camera in general. I don't care about built in microphones. If it has one, I'm just going to disable it.

As for budget... lets say under $100? The cheaper the better, though. I'm looking for good bang for my buck. Or perhaps even some bang for Santa's buck?
 
I'm mostly worried about the optical quality. High resolution is pretty worthless if the camera is picking up a blurry image to begin with...

So that being said, do you guys still recommend what you've said?

Edit: Just realized that the Logitech C910 has a Carl Zeiss lens. Heck yes! I may go with this. Once I finish buying gifts for everyone, let's see how much money I have left 😉

Logitech c910 at costco for $55 right now. The best webcam on the market right now for around $61 including tax.
 
Logitech c910 is the best. I have one and it beats the pants off the Microsoft lifecam. Got it for 65 bucks when Amazon had that deal running this September. You can't go wrong for 61 with tax at Costco.
 
I'm holding off for a while, actually. Better chance to get a better deal, so that's always good.
