ok...now i'm just trying to get the 50 more posts to be one of the top threads....this might be my best shot unless I decide to make up a story about a girl passed out in my bed or a roommate who brought home 2 hot drunk girls and I decided to do homework instead of them...lol

I took typing on a whim in high school & set a few records!

It was great fun bein' a basketball guy & kickin' a bunch of girl's asses!! ;)

Hardly, but Cattlegod has my score of 1.812 beaten with a score of 1.735, according to the high score list.

I played a few times, but my best was only 6.4 seconds. I started just memorizing a few sections of he alphabet, so if can do that for the whole thing after a little practice, I can see how you would get god-like scores.

You don't have the alphabet memorized? :Q

Again.........one-handed under 3 seconds = ----------> S-H-E-N-S!!! Doubly!! ;)

EDIT: Score at work is 2.75 seconds. Not bad, but my good keyboard has somethin' flippy w/ the "V" key. It's always stoppin' on "V" whether I bang it or tap it. Gotta find another keyboard around here!!

2.109 on a laptop is great!!

I actually did as well on my Thinkpad last night as I did on my good work keyboard.

The work keyboard keys are still rather *squared up* but my good ole Thinkpad actually has better *chamfered* keys which allows the floating from one key to the next better.

I got a few 2.8's last night, but just can't break 2.75!

I think the worst time killers are the beginning and end.

C-D-E-F-G.......and........ R-S-T-U-V........kill it for me most of the time.

I can flow thru J-K-L-M-N-O-P in one motion, but the others above are just too tough where one finger (first part) and/or the span starts to spread a bit (last part).

I think a good keyboard is "key" .........(errr-----no pun intended??? LOL!!!!)

I can't seem to break the 4 second barrier and I consider myself a pretty fast typist. I think the 'C' key is costing me around a second each try.

Edit: Now it's W that's screwing me over; I always hit Q instead.

What's really funny is that you'll sometimes find you'll be faster on a cold run than after having tried it 50 times.....LOL!!!

Another thing that'll screw with your head is the sound & visual on this little game. Try turning the sound off & adjust your screen so that the "animated hands" are out of view. Then you can deal with just the cascading letters. (I can do well with or without 'em now, but the first night that audio was tickin' me off!)

Wow!!! Great stress reliever!!!!

Somebody here at work just pissed me off & whadda ya know..........2.53!!!!!

This time after I was done I entered my name & then a screen came up that said, "Got a Hi Score, Prove it!! Then instead of just listing the scores, there's a yellow box subtitled w/.........*Page NaN of 3708*"

Dunno what they changed overnight or if it has to do w/ the time I posted, but there are also a couple new *low* times listed below 1.5 so somebody definitely rigged a script.

Oh well.........Now I gotta try & break 2.5!! :D

*
EDIT --------------> :p --- 2.37 --- :p That's gotta be close to my max! My keyboard sounded like a popcorn popper! Carpel tunnel here I come........:D
