im thinking about maybe going to a ddr setup epox 8kha+ & some 256 pc2700
my question is there a real performance increase over similar
speed sdram setup & where will the increse be in
windows performance , games ?
you can read my system specs in my sig
all i wanna change for now is my mb & ram, will keep the rest for now
what im looking for is people with similar system specs to mine
who have made this upgrade
was it worth it or even noticable

or maybe some links to reviews comparing the 2 setups

Well the first DDR board I built was a 8KHA+ and I saw a real performance jump working with pictures and video and at the speed programs install, I used a A7V133 1.4 raid and if you clocked it to a 1.6 like the Epox you could still tell the Epox was faster in everything you did even without the raid, People that look at this computer just keep saying man that is one fast computer, Was it worth it- I build them to sell and play around with- Even noticable, Oh yes

Performance improvements from a DDR upgarde using a current chipset amount to about 15-20%, all other factors (CPU speed, amount of memory, etc.) being the same.

Our tests here on AnandTech show a 5-15% improvement, depending on the application.
