I don't agree with everything he says, but at least he will let a point go when he is proven wrong. Try that with posters here or O'Reilly and you are talking about a massive amount of strokes for sure.

Yup, it's a good show. It seems kinda rushed at times, but as you say Bill knows when he might be wrong about something and doesn't just dig in.

Which is awesome to me. Did you see tonight's episode? The one with Jesse Ventura and the economist? I am trying to figure out which one was right about subsidies and price controls.

I just did some research on google and it appears they were both right, but the economist was kind of a pretentious prick.

It's off to a good start this season. I always found the in-house comedian piece to be pretty lame last season. Glad they dumped it.

I resemble that remark :)

The economist was Paul Krugman. You know, the guy who if he ever quit writing OP/EDS for the NY Times, B.O.B.DN. wouldn't have anything to post here.

I think you're sweet.

I liked the show where he had whom he described as a 'real' friend, Ann Coulter, and some flaming black liberal on plus some other pompous conservative bloke. They went round and round for a whole segment and everybody was laughing their asses off. It was remarkable in just how human they all really were. Coulter, for example, was a gas. It did sort of leave you with the feeling that a lot of what people are as public persona relates to making a buck. Kind of creepy that way, I thought, but comforting to see a more jovial side. Struck me afterward I'd enjoy her company for the repartee.

I love that show. Just like Millennium stated, I may not agree on some of the issues, but I like how he tries not to bull crap.
I actually e mailed the show to see if they are going to talk about the RIAA. =) . My luck Bill likely supports the RIAA.

It wasn't Jesse. That was funny.

Perhaps among real people she shows natural human respect. I seemed true that Bill really likes her. Everybody is nicer when loved. She wasn't, in my opinion and quite surprisingly, a Diesel Bitch, though obviously she can be. I flashed on the possibility that she is a Republican blond woman among women hating Republican males and that she's learned to get on their good side, including how to get into their wallets, by slipping behind their hate and projecting it magnified for them. Suddenly here's a part of what the hate screaming their own impotent rage. Of course the reason for woman hate is that lack of ability to control. No need when it screams what you want to scream.

yeah, o'reilly would consider allowing oneself to admit defeat a sign of weakness, not stregnth of character or intelligence.

Maher needs to forget all the stupid celebrities like DJ Hughley and Dennis Miller and get more intellectuals or specialists on the panel. I get sick of seeing predictable loudmouths like Micahel Moore, Ann Coulter, Ariana Huffington. I'm sick of the celebrity element to all these so-called news shows. Even Fox panders to the celebrity watcher -- they reported on J-Lo's wedding as if that is why people watch cable news.
