I'm talking about RTS (real time strategy) games like Age of Empires where you spend resources to research tech to upgrade your units.

In my OP, since there are medieval cavalry along side tanks and attack helicopters then the player didn't upgrade one path of the tech tree

i think my narrative of not upgrading a branch of the tech tree was more entertaining than the reality of the Polish military that still has horseback cavalry
