I noticed one of the attackers is an IP address from Microsoft corp in Beverly Hills. I think the ip was : 157.22.39.223.

Merck & Co as originating location for an attack, also passes by often.

None of that is really surprising to me. Corporate systems get compromised, and are used as a pivoting point for attacks all the time. PCs become members of botnets. There's also the possibility that it's someone that works in Info Sec who is "playing" with the honeypot (the legalities of which are definitely a gray area, but could very easily result in jail time).
 
Alot of attacks from Saudi Arabia now. Saudinet, Makkah. Lighting up like a Christmas tree. Lot of attacking towards Thailand. Would that have anything to do with the recent developments in Thailand ?
 
I want a giant wall and captains chair set up with this running on it. I'd feel epic and powerful.

I would only feel epic and powerful if I could direct counter attacks in realtime.

Edit: from my captains chair facing a giant screen, of course. That part of the idea is sound.
 
Turned it on...looked pretty cool. Us getting hit with most things...maybe 150 hits against the US. Then someone in Turkey tried to wipe Honk Kong off the map with 3000 attacks in 4 seconds. That was fun to watch.
 
Whats interesting is when you put a packet sniffer on the other side of your firewall. It's incredible just how much worm/hack/bot traffic there is. Open up SSH to the outside without brute force protection as an experiment. Within 15 minutes you're hacked.
