Can there be any other show on televsion that seemlessly fuses lesbians, social security, strippers and the regular mumbo jumbo going down in washington? I know most you guys (ladies) might watch the typical sunday political shows on the major networks and brush aside Bill's own view on how to discuss politicals. But I beg to differ; the topics and guests on the show, really shine a new light and drift off to a plain where no other political show can dare dream of going.

Bill Maher is a haughty idiot with worthless political opinions that he supports with ridiculous comedy.

The wife and I have become regular viewers of this show. Can't say I always agree with him and sometimes it's funny to see the guests hand his ass back to him on certain topics, but overall a very entertaining and enjoyable way to watch people discuss some pretty heavy topics.

Redwings > Bill Maher

I'll hit the replay later; this is good stuff and it's not a Hannity/Colmes whipping boy session. It's real entertainment with a leftist edge. I give it a thumbs up. At least Maher doesn't try to disguise his show as serious banter like some <fox> blowhards </fox>

Would you describe him as an instigator of controversay? He seems to talk about politics out of the blue and kind of tells the panel, "Discuss."

What I love on the is how their's a 'Brotha's' view that gets thrown into the mix. Always a riot for me.

I would say his political opinions are always haughty, mostly worthless, but the comedy is excellent.

I would also say that he has mellowed and become less liberal (I almost said more conservative) over the years.

All of the above. The show IS entertaining. The "ridiculous comedy" is still good though.

I don't get HBO anymore (damn cable company switched it to digital cable only :|), but I did get to see quite a few episodes when I did have it. Maher really does some good by speaking his mind and not backing down just because it may be unpopular. I don't always agree with him (especially when he talks about drugs), but he offers a perspective that, sadly, isn't seen enough.

He really should cut out some of his comedy, though. It can really hurt his credibility.
