Any input hoping to order in the next 20 mins. Is it worth spending the extra $25 on the Retail+shipping?:

It's very good, in fact I am running one right now, purchased it two months ago for $45, not a single problem. Mine even came with the box, manual, cd, and cables. It was basicly the same as a retail box.

Thanks MaxFusion! I did go ahead and order it, now lets pray I can get $40 for my 256MB of PNY PC133 so this'll be a free upgrade (I'm on a K7S5A with 256MB of PC133 now, praying I can get $80-85 for the old mobo and RAM.

If you have any doubts about buying something, pay attention to the warranty.that comes with it.

Yea I did check the warranty, I got a 30 day one so that should be long enough.

Human2k, too bad!!!! I just 2 days ago ordered a Morgan 1GHz, if only I had decided to get this back then. Oh well, guess it was the Lord's Will:)

Stay away.

AK31A is a real POS. Everything from voltage regulation issues to RAM configuration and timing issues. Not to mention the shoddy VIA core logic.

IMHO, the $54 ECS K7S5A (new) is a better choice. A much better choice.

Buggy core logic? Not with the AK31A. It's just as stable as my old K7S5A was, except its got ocing options:)

Jesus.. How good do you expect a $50.00 motherboard to be? For $50.00 bucks, you should be happy it boots at all..

C'mon people! You GET what you PAY for!

Very true. If I paid 50 for a mb, I would feel lucky if it booted and ran.
