again, you're confusing the people with the government. the people aren't the problem. the landscape and scenery, history, people, and rich culture aren't the issue. it's the theocratic government.

I agree. I've worked with a handful of people who called themselves "Persian" so they wouldn't be associated with "Iranian." Most were very good, decent people, as I'm sure the majority of people in Iran also are. It's too bad their country has been taken over by the religious nutjobs...and the political ones too...

Who, if they aren't brought under control, will result in the country looking like this:

Imadinnerjacket and the Mullahs are going to continue to push Israel and the US of A past the point of no return. (I think Israel will strike Iran causing Iran to strike back...causing the US of A to pound Iran into glass.)

The people are great, the history is great, the food is great. Actually everything there is great except the government and I would REALLY not recommend travelling there. Doesn't matter what passport you use either - you'll have some kind of ridiculous problem with the government. Can't wait for that country to get sane leadership.

No one important believes Iran is gonna use a nuclear weapon if they get one. It's a non-issue. It isn't like they're lunatics who are interested in causing the annihilation of their country. They aren't stupid.

And I doubt we will get involved in a war with Iran and Israel if Israel starts it, considering we told them, "we won't help you if you start a war with Iran."
